Martha Argerich and Mischa Maisky in Warsaw, 27 08 2010

The National Philharmonic Concert Hall saw performances by two great performers on the same evening, although they did not play together!
Martha Argerich offers a very introspective, romantic interpretation of the concerto, unlike her fire and brimstone playing we are used to.
Mischa Maisky, on the other hand, is his good old self. At the beginning of the first part he gets carried away a bit and misses some notes, but that's why we love live recordings, right?

The concert was part of the Chopin and His Europe Festival.

The set list:

Chopin - Piano Concerto in E minor, op. 11

Encores:
4. Chopin: Mazurka op.24/2 in C major
5. Schumann: Traumes Wirren (Fantasiestücke op. 12/7)

Schumann - Cello Concerto in A minor, op. 129

Encores:
9. Bach: Sarabande from Cello Suite in C minor
10. Bach: Prelude from Cello Suite in G major

Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra
Jacek Kaspszyk - conductor.

Recorded live from Polish Radio Programme 2, 19:30 27 08 2010

For visitors old and new:
This is the same concert I uploaded on this blog a while back. It took me some time to get back to restoring the blog after the powers that be fried the old links.

FLAC, individual files ~350 MB
Enjoy.
